French cast brass 8 day time and strike mantel clock, c1890
CONDITION:
there is a nice bright patina on this ornate case which has no losses or damage, although some steel-wool polishing has left fine scratches on the flat panels. The porcelain dial is pristine, with a fancy cast dial center, and the flat beveled glass is fine. The Japy Freres Medaille d'Honneur movement strikes with a count wheel and (replaced) bell. Ht 20"
